The atmosphere was crazy the moment we walked in...

If you ask me which restaurant comes to mind the most in Vienna, even though it's a bit awkward to recommend a French restaurant in Austria,

I would definitely recommend this place..

Croissant + onion soup is a menu I want to try again next time I go.

The croissant has a buttery aroma and the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's a taste you can't find in Korea.

Onion soup is also a common dish in France, but it was much richer and tastier here than the onion soup I had in Hungary.

Gifts (Manner, DM, and other things)

We returned to Vienna on the last day and were going to catch a flight, but just in case

I bought some Manner cookies as souvenirs and gifts.

Manner cookies taste like high-quality wafers, and they come in various flavors, so it's fun to choose from.

These cookies can be purchased at any supermarket like Billa, but after comparing them a little,

The Manner souvenir shop next to St. Stephen's Cathedral had the most varieties and the prices were relatively cheaper.

We bought 2 of these individually packaged mix versions. Each box contains 25 pieces, so buying 2 boxes gives you a total of 50 pieces, which is good for sharing with different people.

Each individually packaged one contains 2 wafers.

Recommended as a gift! I brought it back and distributed it to several places.

And since the box is designed to open and everything spills out, you have to be careful not to open it.

DM

I stopped by DM for a while before heading to Budapest from Wien Hbf Station (Vienna Central Station).

I had a hard time finding DM at Wien Hbf Station,

On the OBB boarding level, facing the OBB boarding gate, go straight to the right and you will find a door leading outside.

Go out of that door, walk past the smoking area where people are smoking like crazy, and you'll see DM on your left.

So, in the end, it's not actually inside the central station, but outside.

I bought a few things at DM,

I bought DM's private brand ampoules, lotions, cotton pads, acne cream (?), etc.

I bought an ampoule because people said it was popular, and I tried it myself, but it didn't seem to have much effect lol. I was just happy to try something new!

It's about 2,000 won in Korean money, so it's good for giving to friends.

I was satisfied with the cotton pads because I used them well during my trip and at home. They are sturdy, thick, and soft, yet inexpensive.

I bought an acne cream (?) because I've been having a lot of acne lately, and I just picked up something I saw. It seemed to be quite effective.

It felt like a small calming effect that wouldn't last long. It was about 8,000 won per piece.

And there might not be a lot of stuff here. You might not find what you want, but I recommend it as a gift shop to visit last!

Vienna → Hungary Train (RJX 63) Travel

Wien Hbf → Budapest-Keleti

I had already booked quiet zone tickets and printed them out at the ticket printing machine at OBB in Vienna.

Then, one ticket with only seats written on it came out for 2 tickets, resulting in a total of 3 tickets being printed.

We travelled on RJX 63, a comfortable train similar to KTX.

Goodbye Vienna, see you again on the last day!

Arrival at Budapest-Keleti station in Hungary!

As soon as we arrived, we could feel the Hungarian characteristics.

The pale yellow light, the dome-shaped ceiling... it has the charm of Hungary.

The station itself is quite small, and there are only a few exits, so just go out.

There is a subway station a little further from here.

But the subway ticket machine was broken, so I used the machine at the bus stop above to get a single-trip ticket.

(But there was also a subway entrance and a machine right across the street...)

Anyway, I arrived safely and took the subway to the hotel.

Mercure Budapest Hotel Check-in

It was a hotel that was just right, with a reasonable price, clean, and close to the subway and bus.

It seemed like a hotel where airline employees often stayed.

You could also have a big bottle of water for free.

The bed was also soft and comfortable.

It was a hotel with nothing to be disappointed about, so I recommend it!

We went to a restaurant that we could walk to near the hotel.

We were so hungry, so we went to a place where we could eat meat.

It was a stylish restaurant with the smell of steak and many servers as soon as we walked in.

A Hungarian specialty! We tried Tokaji wine for the first time. Oh my gosh, this is why people say Tokaji Tokaji.

It's really sweet, but it's a sophisticated sweetness that doesn't make you feel sick.

I don't like sweet things, but I kept going back for more.

And we also ordered an alcohol-free beer, which tasted a bit plain.

We also ordered goulash. It tasted ordinary. I wouldn't really recommend it.

It was delicious when I added spicy chili sauce, which added another level of spicy umami.

The bread seemed to be refillable, and they brought us more when we finished everything.

The steak was a bit tough, but I ate it all deliciously because I was hungry.

Sweet potato fries came with it, and they were my favorite.

It was a fig salad, and the figs were so soft and chewy, they were really delicious.

Overall, the staff was so friendly and kept checking if we needed anything, which I was very grateful for.

The food was okay, and it was good for a special occasion.

We ate so much, but the total cost was about 70,000 won, which was good value for money. Hungary is so good!
